Why is bamboo so perfect for babies?
Thanks to the smooth and round structures of its natural fibers, bamboo textiles are soft and non-irritating, perfect to babies’ sensitive skin. Bamboo’s natural luster and softness makes it feel and drape like silk.
Bamboo is naturally anti-bacterial and anti-fungal, theoretically because of an agent unique to bamboo plants called “bamboo kun” which also helps bamboo resist harboring odors.
It is hypoallergenic, highly absorbent and wicks water away faster than cotton.
In warm, humid and sweaty weather, bamboo textiles keep the baby drier, cooler and more comfortable and it will not stick to their delicate skin.
Our Bamboo products are also easy to launder in a clothes washer and dryer and are also naturally more wrinkle-resistant than cotton-while it might still require ironing after washing, bamboo fabric can be ironed at a lower temperature than cotton. Shrinkage during washing and drying is minimal at warm temperatures.
Bamboo textiles are eco-friendly: the plants are very quick growing and do not usually require the use of pesticides and herbicides to thrive. Plantations can easily be kept organic and replanted yearly to replenish stocks.
It is 100% biodegradable and regenerative. Made from natural fibers, our bamboo fabrics are light and strong, and more long-lasting than cotton. This way, the products can be reused by more than one generation.
